Purchase:

The MANGO, belongs to the family of the Anacardiáceas. It is a tropical fruit of oval form, smooth bark and color that goes from green to yellow and yellow with red, depending usually of its kind or point of maturation and others with green parts so are ripe. Originating in India and Burma.

Freshness:

It can be seen in the firm texture to the touch, smooth skin (not wrinkled), without bruises. Characteristic Aroma. Its color depends on its maturation (from green to yellow and orange).

When you go to buy the product in the supermarket, we recommend:

  • Observe that the display site is clean and adequately refrigerated.
  • Choose the products, preferably in this order: vegetables, fruits, eggs, cheeses and dairy in general, after the products of pantry, but before the meats, poultry, fish and shellfish.
  • When you reach your destination and if the handles are at the desired ripening point, refrigerate so that they do not ripen anymore.

Uses:

Alone, in juice, sorbet, fruit salad, for sauces, mousse, ice cream, desserts and confectionery in general, among others.

Storage:

The handle is kept at room temperature until it reaches the desired ripening point. Then refrigerate in bag with perforations or fruit box. The Viche or ripe mango, for juice or soda, can be peeled, cut into pieces, sliced into plastic bags and frozen, although it tends to change its flavor a little.

Conservation:

Freeze. Cool.

1 month or more. 8-12 days approx.

Tips

-if ripe, allow to mature to refrigerate. -In a fruit bowl, do not place them in a place where the sun gives them. -It is advisable not to cook the fruit for beverages, since it loses nutrients.
