Semi-perishable foods are those that despite having more durability, if they are not provided with adequate storage, end up deteriorating sooner than what is specified on the expiration date of the product. But if stored and properly preserved, it can extend its useful life between 6 months to 1 year approximately and also depending on the quality of the product. Flour, dried fruits and dry mixes are considered within this group. These foods should be stored in pantry, in cool, dry places (away from moisture) and also from the sun’s rays.

Processed foods: Dehydrated, salted or canned (canned and packaged), can be purchased every 1-2 months. Vegetable fats (oil and margarine), pickles, sauces acidulated with lemon, vinegar or other acids, pasta, milk powder, cookies in packets, coffee, sugar, flour, can be purchased every 1-2 months. Cured meats (can be refrigerated), salted or smoked fish (can be refrigerated). Buy every 1-2 months. Its duration also depends on its handling with utensils and always clean hands. Nuts: As, nuts, pistachios, dehydrated fruits (raisins). Buy every 2 months. Its duration also depends on its handling with utensils and always clean hands.
