Beet is a red-rooted vegetable (red wine) and a spinning top.
It is observed in the firmness to the touch, characteristic color of its red wine shell with some veins, never with black patches, nor soft.
When you go to buy the product in the supermarket, we recommend:
- Observe that the display site is clean and adequately refrigerated.
- Choose the products, preferably in this order: vegetables, fruits, eggs, cheeses and dairy in general, after the products of pantry, but before the meats, poultry, fish and shellfish.
- When you reach your destination refrigerate, so that the “cold chain” of the same is not interrupted.
For salads, milkshakes, cup cakes.
Refrigerate in the “vegetable drawer”, in perforated or loose plastic bag. If you want you can cook, then peel, leave and refrigerate for 5 days maximum, saving in a container with lid (glass), while consuming. Its duration also depends on its freshness at the time of the purchase. Crude refrigerated, 15-18 days approx. Cooked refrigerated, 5-8 days approx.

Note: Beets change considerably its texture when frozen, it becomes excessively soft and watery for this reason it is preferable to refrain from doing so. Cooked beets should always be served with a clean utensil. Periodically check the status of the product.
